This quilt was adapted from one in Kitty and Sylvia Pippen's book 'Quilting with Japanese Fabrics and More'. The black parts of the blocks are quilted with a metalic thread and the borders are quilted from the reverse side in candlelight metalic thread. The circle designs are embroidered with glass beads and have tassels attatched.
Oreintal Promise was awarded 3rd prize in the small wall hanging category of the Great Northern Quilt Show, 2007.
