Alan Beggs, PhD A human geneticist from Massachusetts, the principal investigator and driving force at the Beggs Laboratory, Alan oversees all the of the laboratories research and mentors all lab members. Elizabeth Taylor, MS CGC A genetic counselor from Delaware, Elizabeth is the research co-ordinator for studies on congenital myopathies. Elizabeth is currently writing a review of congenital fibre type disproportion for a genetics website.
Community Champions Fund In March 2007 the Information Point was successful in applying to the Community Champions Fund and were awarded a grant of £2,000 for our work.
Net-work Since February 2006 Net-work have provided our web hosting and domain name. At a time when nobody else would sponsor the Information Point, they volunteered their service free of charge. 
The UnLtd Millenium Awards Scheme In 2007 the Information Point was successful in applying to the UnLtd Millenium Awards Scheme and was awarded £1,000 as part of the Be Cause Awards initiative. Wendy Hughes Wendy has been hugely supportive of the Information Point since day one, she was the first person to contribute a personal experience to the site and in the run up to the website re-launch in 2006 Wendy was there all the way challenging my ability and constantly allowing me to bounce ideas off her. Wendy's son Zak has X-Linked MTM and she is one of the founder members of the Myotubular Trust.
Michael Abram My dad, for being supportive of the site since day one, for helping with technical bits and bobs and for his newly acquired marketing skills which sees him tell everyone and anyone who will listen about the Information Point website and webshop.
Candice Roman Candice graduated from James Madison University (Harrisonburg, VA, USA) with a B.S. in Integrated Science and Technology. She double-concentrated in Biotechnology and Engineering & Manufacturing and completed “A Case Study: Myotubular Myopathy” on March 30, 2000 to fulfill an assignment in her Biotechnology for the New Millennium II class. Having been personally affected by this disease, Candice was extremely motivated to pursue a career in research with the hope of ultimately helping work towards a treatment and / or cure for MTM. She spent a summer interning at a small biotechnology company in Charlottesville, VA, but quickly realized that lab work might not be the best choice for her. Upon graduation, Candice was recruited to work for GeneEd, Inc. in San Francisco, CA, a leading provider of e-Learning solutions to the life science industry, where she is still currently employed.
